By Design: Answering Questions Teens Are Asking

Firmly Planted Family is pleased to partner with CanaVox to host By Design, a conference to equip teens, parents, and youth leaders.

Saturday, March 9th | 9am-4pm

14001 SE 1st Street Vancouver, WA 98684

This will be a one-day intensive that will help you to deepen your own biblical and theological foundations regarding sex, marriage, and identity—broadening your apologetics for affirming God’s amazing design.

This conference has been thoughtfully designed for 6th-12th graders. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend with their kids and anyone who works with youth is also invited!  Please no children under the age of 10.

If you’ve been asked questions about God and sex, marriage, or identity and you just didn’t know what to say… This conference is for you!

Morning sessions will be foundational and age appropriate for middle and high school students.

Afternoon sessions and breakout sessions will cover subjects that contain more mature ideas and parents are encouraged to use discretion.

Rob McCoy: Reclaiming Your Constitutional Rights–Whatever the Cost

Join us for an informative and inspiring evening featuring Pastor Rob McCoy!

Senior pastor at Godspeak Calvary Chapel, former Thousand Oaks mayor and city council member, and co-founder with Charlie Kirk of Turning Point Faith, Rob McCoy is a strong defender of our Constitutional rights.

When he was told to shut down his church while strip clubs were allowed to stay open, he called it tyranny and said we had a right and duty to push back.  And he did!  He kept the church open, even when the state decided to sue.

Mixing a little history, a great love of our country, and a lot of humor, Rob will touch your heart and give you inspiration for the times we live in.

This is a free event, reserve your seats below!

VIP Reception is $50.00.

Reception includes hors d'oeuvres, refreshments, and photo opportunities with Rob McCoy.

Mission Strong: A Workshop with Andrew Pudewa

Listening and reading well, speaking and writing clearly, and thinking and debating effectively are abilities that most parents hope to cultivate in their children. With that goal in mind, Andrew Pudewa explores various environments and activities that accelerate the development of these language skills, beginning with the youngest students and continuing into the high school years.

Extra focus will be given to presenting opportunities for home educating high schoolers. Many of these will save time, help your family avoid higher education debt, and give your teens a head start on their next decade of life.

Evening Schedule

  • 6:00 Doors Open, Coffee and Bookstore Open

  • 6:30 Andrew’s talk: Cultivating Language Arts, Preschool through High School, The Extended Edition

  • 8:00 Panel Discussion on Hacking High School and Other Questions

  • 8:45 Close

FPF Building Dedication

If you haven't seen the new building yet, you're in for a treat! Join us on September 6th as we gather to dedicate this beautiful facility to the Lord. This building is from Him and with an overflow of gratitude we get to dedicate it back to Him!

Important details to remember:

This event is free to attend. Fun and refreshing desserts will be available for purchase (dessert pizzas, slushees, ice cream, gelato) from La Uva Fortuna Farms. Before the ceremony begins, our staff and volunteer team will be hosting a variety of activity tables and games for your children to play . Feel free to come early at 5:45pm to play/get desserts and be sure to throw your camping chairs in your trunk because this outdoor event is BYOC (bring your own chair)!

We're also excited to announce that there will be a one night only last chance registration booth where families will be invited to register for fall classes.

After the outdoor dedication and ribbon cutting, guests will be invited inside to experience a self guided tour throughout the building complete with an animated map, information about each area, and a short video in the auditorium highlighting the 20+ year journey of Firmly Planted Family, which led us to where we are today.

We can't wait to see what God has in store next! Will you join us?

The Firmly Planted Homeschool Resource Center (FPHRC) exists to equip and connect homeschooling families, providing them with the tools and support they need to thrive in their homeschooling journey. We desire to see every homeschool parent flourishing and confident and every student growing and challenged.
